I am an ICAgile Certified Professional!
My company uses the agile methodology for strategizing and approaching work. When they offered the agile certification for Agile Fundamentals, I jumped on the chance! Not only to get something fancy on my resume, but also so I could engage in “the new norms” and make sure I was keeping up with the organizational thought processes.
We’ve come a long way since I got this certification in September 2023. In the last six months, we’ve fostered transparency across the company, built accountability into our tracking and roles, improved our processes through a shared vision, and evolved our adoption of technology to create efficiencies and solve real-world problems.
Though my company is young (7 years old), this shift in mindset has allowed us to have successful cross-functional teams and iterative improvements on our work flows. I’m now a member of one sprint board and two kanban boards, and I never have to worry about my work not getting recognized. I feel less burnt out than I did before and it’s exciting to be passionate about what I do without the weight of overwhelm.
